Terms & Conditions: *********************************** Code of Ethics The League of Generals have become revered as a clan that fights with honor, upholds the true essence of the game, combatants. An LG General represents an elite group of players and must become familiar with our code of ethics. All members must read and obey the Code of Ethics. This is a requirement to be an LG member. ALL GAMES AND CLAN FORUMS 1. Conduct yourself with honor and respect. A. No EXCESSIVE or AGGRESSIVE cursing. Please keep it to a minimum. B. No insulting, harassing, or flaming permitted in- game or in this or any other chat forum. C. Accept LG Command's decision and grant those we choose to ally with the proper respect, even if it’s not returned. D. LG members are not permitted to use exploits or cheats of any kind. (Unless explicitly approved by LG Command) E. LG Command has an open-door policy. All members are encouraged to voice their opinions in a respectable manner on the forums or in person. However, once a decision has been made, members are expected to follow orders without complaint. F. Be a gracious winner and loser. Don’t rub a win in someone’s face, you’re not always victorious. Don't bicker over why you lost. If you lost, you lost. You win some, you lose some. 2. Follow the Chain of Command A. Report directly to the officer that gave you your orders, unless directed otherwise. B. Report information to the appropriate Commander (EVE issues get reported to the EVE Commander, etc.) C. When in-game the ranking system is as follows: 1st: Co-Leaders 2nd: Members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff 3rd: Division Co-Commanders (Co-Commanders will be given priority, but they can be overruled if violations of the COE are observed.) 4th: General (Member) Note: Each Division may have its own hierarchy or ranking system. 3. Non-Discrimination Policy LG has a Zero-Tolerance policy regarding discrimination of any kind. No Member, Ally, Friend, Guest or other player will be discriminated against on the basis of race, creed, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, age, or any other discrimination decided by LG Command. ******************************** EVE Rules: In Addition to the Above 1. An LG Corp member will not attack first. Exceptions include: a. Defending an Ally b. Someone steals from your container and is marked. c. Engaging target that the Corp is currently at war with. d. Engaging target that the Corp has deemed a KOS. e. Defending POS 2. Play Honorably: a. LG members are to NEVER Exploit any Bugs found within the game. b. NEVER Curse, threaten, harass or use vulgar language at any other Corp/person for any reasons even if you win/lose in an engagement, try to be polite, and report to the Corp heads about the engagement so action can be taken. 3. Always follow chain of command and follow any orders given by a superior LG Corp Member. Protocols 1. NEVER try to cheat, or Scam anyone in the market, Escrow, or trades. 2. If you get an IM, (instant message), during a battle, or important operation do not leave to answer. You can reply after it is complete. 3. When entering a room, acknowledge other Corp members, allies & friends. Ask if assistance is needed. Priority goes as follows; a. LG members b. Allies c. Corps with good relations d. Independents ******************************** Battlefield 2142 Rules and Regulations 1. Follow orders issued by your Squad Leader or Commander. 2. DO NOT Team Kill. If it’s an accident, apologize. 3. Do NOT camp at uncapturables. 4. Follow the server rules set by the server admins. We would want them to do the same in our server. 5. Do NOT recruit anyone unless you have permission from the Division Commander. Do not recruit in another clan’s server. It is disrespectful and may end up getting you booted or banned. 6. If you are the Team Commander..... COMMAND!! Do not get into the fight, unless you are defending your Titan as a last resort. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR TITAN! You can't lead efficiently when you're not paying attention. 7. Work as a TEAM! Squad up and communicate with your teammates. Log onto Ventrilo or X-fire prior to loading your game. Hook up your mic and use it. (Highly recommended but not required. Players that do not participate in group activities will not usually be promoted.) **************************************** Guild Wars: In addition to the above: - No scamming please. There are plenty of ways to EARN items, gold, etc. - In regards to PvP and GvG battles, no one is allowed to intentionally resign a match to allow another team/guild to earn more rank, or to try and convince other teams to improve our rank by quitting. In other words, "ladder manipulation" (i.e. attempting to dishonestly improve one's rank or Guild's rank) is not allowed. - Be respectful to other Guild members as well as other gamers. **************************************** Star Trek Online: 1. PARTICIPATION: A). All Fleet Officers are encouraged to attend as many fleet events as possible. All Fleet Officers are REQUIRED to attend the monthly meeting/muster. (You will be notified via multiple avenues of these events.) Participation requires the use of vent and interacting with your brother officers. You are also asked to check the website frequently for news/updates about the Fleet as well as the activities of the other divisions. ***NATURALLY WE UNDERSTAND REAL LIFE MAY PREVENT YOU FROM ABIDING BY THIS POLICY FROM TIME TO TIME. WE ASK ONLY THAT YOU MAKE US AWARE OF ANY ABSENCE AS SOON AS IS FEASIBLE**** B). Logging in and playing solo is often more enjoyable when you are simply in the mood to do so, and is not frowned upon. However playing solo EXCLUSIVELY will result in an inquiry and possible sanctions. C). Leave of Absence: You must notify Fleet Command of any leave of absence. Because Real life happens (computers crash, vacations and employment), your leave of absence request will always be granted and honored. However, if you hold a Fleet Command Position, and are going to be absent for longer than a month, you will be asked to recommend a "Pro-tem" officer in your place. Members inactive for two months (no participation without a LOA) will be reduced to "Candidate" Rank. At three months of AWOL, your membership in the fleet will be terminated. ***We make every effort to stay in contact to ensure that you are never 'accidentally' sanctioned, but the responsibility for communicating is on the individual Fleet Officer. D.) When you Log in to the Game make your presence known via the Fleet Chat Channel. 2.) IN GAME CONDUCT: A.) YOU, THE PLAYER: In ventrilo, we encourage friendly banter, trash talking, competitiveness, and joking. We do NOT under any circumstances, however, tolerate ANY form of racism or discrimination. We do not tolerate abusive conduct toward any brother officer, nor guests who may be in Vent. If, at any time, you have a grievance or are just not happy with some things, you are encouraged to speak directly, whenever possible, to whatever party you may have issue with (Including Command Staff). If you cannot resolve your issue, you may call on the Command Staff to mediate. If your issue is with Command Staff, then you have the right to request mediation from the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the League. NEVER "gossip" with other fleet officers. Most importantly, NEVER trash the Fleet or League to STO Players outside the Fleet. Violation of this section will result in immediate expulsion. REMEMBER: The JCS maintains an open-door policy. If you need to discuss an issue with them, you are welcome to do so at any time. However the JCS, Like the Fleet, respects the Chain of Command and encourages you to use it. Honor your word. the Motto of the League is Honor and Might. We require honesty and HONORABLE conduct at all times. If you commit yourself to an event or project for the Fleet, we will hold you accountable. Never abuse the bank system and never deal unfairly through the Exchange as this constitutes an exploit (which is FORBIDDEN in the League and the Fleet) and brings shame to our good name. B). YOU, THE CAPTAIN: All officers will maintain the dignity of the Fleet and the League. Make sure your officers follow the Uniform Dress Code (Outlined in the Post titled, FMF Uniform Code). Always wear the Fleet insignia on your uniforms and your ships. Name your ship and Captain anything you wish, but do so tastefully. (USS Slimey Hooker, CDR Licksalot would be unacceptable!) Add no "Special" Abbreviations or acronyms to your captain or vessel unless approved by Command Staff. For Example, many vessels will be named, "USS Booger-Omega Group." Only the name and registry numbers should appear on your hull ("USS Booger"). Likewise do not "Title" yourself with any title not provided by the Fleet or STO. "Dr. Sabynn" would not be acceptable without prior consent from Fleet Command. Always respond to ANY Call for help from: (In this Order) 1. a Brother Fleet Officer, 2. Officers belonging to an Allied Fleet 3. Non-FMF officers without a Fleet, 4. Non-FMF Officers that are in another fleet. In PVP, be gracious in Victory or Defeat. We are Elite Officers and our conduct must reflect this. Whenever you have opportunity, assist officers outside of our fleet, asking nothing in return. This is the public relations policy of the Fleet. Our reputation is that of Officers who always help with no ulterior motives: Selflessness! In fleet action combat, any member of the "team" may be appointed to command (Not always the most senior officer in the Fleet). Obey the instruction/orders of any such "tactical command." This has proven to be the secret to our successful teamwork when the fight is a tough one. When aiding junior officers on missions, patrols, DSE's etc., remember to assist; not take over. Any loot you pick up during such combat goes to the Junior officer, and should be given over to him/her as soon as possible. Always show due courtesy to Officers whether of Superior grade or Subordinate. The League of Generals is the "In Game" Starfleet Command, in that they may from time to time issue conditions or terms to all League members, and the Fleet Command will often confer with them to expand the functions of the STO players/scenarios/and games. Any League member of the Joint Chiefs, when in game is to be respected as a senior officer regardless of their in game rank, as they represent Starfleet Command. This Code of Conduct is subject to revision without prior notice. When a change is made, you will be notified and required to sign off on the change. **************************************** The League of Generals values its respect among its allies and other members of the gaming universe. It is important that each of its members understands and adheres to this Code of Ethics. Any infraction will be dealt with swiftly, justly and will incur penalties accordingly. It is YOUR responsibility to check back to the COE for updates. <center>League of Generals Charter<center> Preamble: The League of Generals is a gaming community that is dedicated in upholding the honor and integrity of the gaming universe. Our members represent the finest and most honorable gamers that have played in the online world. LG Members have become close friends and comrades and though our determination and dedication we’ve created a home we call “The League”. Hierarchy: Co-Leaders Joint Chiefs of Staff Division Co-Commanders Generals Duties of Co-Leaders: 1.) Co-Leaders must choose the Co-Commanders for each division and approve division specific rules. Both Co-Commanders must agree on the choices. If the Co-Leaders are in disagreement, the choice will be put to majority vote in the JCS. 2.) Nominate Joint Chiefs of Staff members In order for a new JCS Member to be voted in, the Co-Leader(s) must nominate the potential member before a vote can be placed. 3.) Participate in at least one LG division To be Co-Leader, you must actively participate in at least one official LG division. 4.) Administrate the LG Forums Co-Leaders are responsible for the maintaining of the website and forums. They enforce LG’s forum rules, and are responsible for website security. 5.) Manage community funds No moneys may be taken from the community account without approval from both Co-Leaders. If there is a disagreement, then there will be a vote by the JCS. (Majority) Duties of Joint Chiefs of Staff 1.) Add and remove members of the JCS The JCS is responsible for voting in or out JCS Members. Either vote must be unanimous. 2.) Appoint Co-Leaders It is the responsibility to first nominate and then vote in (or out) Co-Leaders. The vote must be with the majority. 3.) Approve new LG divisions Potential LG Divisions will be investigated and approved or disapproved by a majority vote in the JCS. 4.) Participate in at least one LG division To be a member of LG’s JCS you must actively participate in at least one official LG division. Duties of Division Co-Commanders 1.) Overall Responsibility of your members and division What happens in a Co-Commander’s division is ultimately their responsibility. 2.) Recruit quality members into LG It is the responsibility of the Co-Commander to recruit quality members into the ranks of LG and to manage their division’s specific recruiting policy. 3.) Uphold the Code of Ethics within your division It is the Co-Commander’s job to enforce the CoE throughout their division at all times. 4.) Maintain a positive reputation within the gaming world A Co-Commander must maintain a positive image and gain/sustain respect from our fellow gamers. 5.) Organization of your division to optimize performance It is the duty of the Co-Commander to utilize the tools that LG Command has provided (i.e. Ventrilo, website, X-Fire, forums, email, etc.) to organize and communicate with all members within their division and their commanding officers to optimize the best performance possible. 6.) Discipline members accordingly when the CoE is violated CoE violations will not be tolerated! If a member of a division is guilty of violating the CoE, the Co-Commander is responsible for initial disciplinary action. If there are repeat offenses the incidents must be reported to the Co-Leaders or JCS Members. Veto Powers Veto powers are held by both Co-Leaders and can be used at any time for any vote. To override a veto, the JCS must hold a 2/3rds revote. After such revote, the result is final. Expulsion If for any reason there is call for a JCS member to be removed from the JCS, the vote must be by 2/3rds. Only a JCS Member or Co-Leader may call for a vote. If a Co-Commander is to be removed from a division it is ultimately the Co-Leaders’ responsibility for removing them from command. Suspension If, at any time, a JCS Member or Co-Leader is up for a vote of expulsion… their voting powers are immediately suspended. Their vote will not count in the final tally. If any member violates the COE their commanding officer reserves the right to suspend them from duty until the situation can be resolved. Suspension may include access to the website, Ventrilo or any other controlling means by the commanding officer. Leave of Absence If a Co-Leader, JCS Member or Co-Commander is going to be away for more than one week, a Leave of Absence is required. If a Leave is to extend past 3 months, their position must be vacated and a replacement found. Member Transfers from Division to Division Transfers from one division to another are guaranteed. However, the position they transfer into is solely up to the Co-Commanders of the new division. Voting Every vote has a run period of one week. An extension of one additional week may be requested by any voting party. Any additional extensions must be approved by the Co-Leaders. Diplomacy All diplomatic agreements, including but not limited to: Alliance, Mutual Protection Pact, Non-Aggressive Pact, Peace Treaty, Cease Fire, etc., are division sensitive and solely up to the Co-Commanders. A formal Declaration of War must be approved by the JCS via a majority vote.
